Simple annotations would be possible...

Most of the cycle counts in that source are to help me balance out the branch taken/not taken paths so that the main loop always executes in constant time.

In other news, I've compressed the graphics so the whole thing loads in one part now - which also means easy disk image, now provided!

I just tried it in T3, itself running in DOSbox, but IIRC T3 dynamically adapts its cpu rate, right? I think DOSbox is a little interesting in how *it* simulates cycles too, so the two combine to a very odd experience indeed.

Yes, it does; unless Alt-S is used to turn it 'OFF'.

Tab-D displays the current delay factor (whilst Tab with < or > shows the negative and positive rates of change).
