getting a disk drive/alternative?
I'm looking to get either a disk drive or some other device that lets me transfer data(programs) to and from a linux PC and a hardware dragon 32. Is such hardware available?

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
In answer to your question, yes there is such hardware available, including replacement DOS controllers and hardware that uses SD cards to emulate floppy disks. However, from reading about your set-up it could be that DriveWire would best suit your needs.
Given that I have not used DriveWire I cannot say much about it, but there are other members of the forum who are more than capable of answering any question you may ask, either about DriveWire or any of the other hardware options.
