Just dug out my old Dragon 32 (actually have 2)
Plugged it in and the screen is displaying mostly @@@@@@@@&&&&&&& things like that
I was wondering if anyone knew of any possible fixes or can point me in the right direction for a guide to repair (not much on the net)
May be a problem with the video memory??
Any help??
Cheers
Keith

Re: Dragon 32 problems troubleshooting
Might be worth opening the machine up and pressing down on any socketed chips to make sure that they are firmly seated in their sockets.hoost2 wrote:Just dug out my old Dragon 32 (actually have 2)

Obviously you need to do this with the machine switched off.

Re: Dragon 32 problems troubleshooting
From the service documents (hosted on this site):
D. Garbage on Screen
1. If RESET switch cures fault, then change IC17.
2. Change IC15.
3. Change IC17.
4. Change IC18.

I managed to fix it thanks, I ended up taking a circuit board from a spare dragon and swapping it with the dud one

unfortunately the cassette play does not work so cant play any games
Re: Dragon 32 problems troubleshooting
Do you mean that your cassette player does not work, or that your fixed Dragon will not accept cassette input?hoost2 wrote:unfortunately the cassette play does not work so cant play any games
