Tano Dragon 64
Re: Tano Dragon 64
I simply wanted to share this:
This is really nice!
Well, I was hesitating a long time to get one. In the end I could not resist.
Here you see, what you get, if you order a "Dragon by TANO".
It was a very positive shopping experience. Terry Reiter, the vendor, replied immediately to all my emails and he was very quick with shipping. I think, I haven't even been waiting for two weeks for the machine to arrive. I don't want to give any numbers, but Terry has already sold the biggest part of his store. There is absolutely no need to panic, he still has a lot of machines, but I really wouldn't wait forever, either!
The price is 49 US$, shipping is much more, depending on destination. Custom declaration is carefully done and the machine can be delivered directly, without detour to the customs' office. Great!
Next thing
I need a 230VAC to 110VAC converter. Let's order one....
See you.

Or use a normal Dragon PSU!
Re: Tano Dragon 64
Hehe! I told you it was an amazing experience!

Ahhh, yes, sure. Clever, it's the same brick, like that of my D32.sixxie wrote:Or use a normal Dragon PSU!

I'm happy you've got one, Rolo, it's an exciting experience and most importantly, another Dragon found a warm home!
Now, just think about the possibilities -- a network! (cough)
The only annoying thing with the Tano Dragon is that the on/off switch was relocated over to the power supply to allow room for a channel selector , so using a standard Dragon power supply means you turn it on or off by plugging or unplugging the power cord...
I wonder how many of us here at the forum own a NOS Tano Dragon?

Tano Dragon 64 NTSC
Today I finally hooked up my NTSC-TANO-64 to a NTSC-capable tv-set.
Ahhh, Ohhh, color explosion ! Suddenly the name Color Computer of the "original" machine starts making sense. No more b&w-games like on my PAL-D32. The converted Tandy roms now show up nice and colorful. That really makes a lot of a difference. Buying an additional TANO-64 payed off. Glad I did that. I'm gonna swap main machine and backup.
