Has anybody else had trouble getting Trekboer and Crazy Painter, as downloaded from the main site, to work. Seems like all the other ones are fine but these wont load up. Any fixes out there for these two?

Cheers for any help.

Yes, there are problems with both of these files.

I've FIXCASed Trekboer (see attachment) so that it now works in XRoar-0.22, but I cannot get Crazy Painter to work, FIXCASed or otherwise. Even XRoar-0.12pre2 (which uses a speed loading routine) cannot load Crazy Painter, so I expect that the file is corrupt.

Cheers mate. I'll try that when I get home as im answering this from work (we're busy obviously). It looks like theres quite a few corrupt files on the download page which is a shame but im just grateful for what ive got (which is the majority).

I do have a CoCo version of Crazy Painter, here, along with some other CoCo originals. It won't load on a Dragon, but if you're emulating anyway...

Looks like "PAINTER.BIN" (extracted to a ".CAS" file from my "ARCAD05B" virtual disk) just won't work in plain "Dragon 32" emulation (tried this in both 0.21 & 0.22 releases, and it crashed every time). I don't have any idea why.

So you will need to run it under "DragonDOS" emulation - works fine under both releases.

1/ Start XRoar
2/ <Ctrl> + 1, then select your "ARCAD05B.vdk" file
3/ LOAD "PAINTER.BIN" <Enter>
4/ RUN "UNBOOT.BIN" <Enter> (wait for the "beep" sound)
5/ EXEC 16384 <Enter>
6/ ... and you're in business again!

Kind regards,
Lionel

Gah, the snake is worse :)

Did that game really load without a title screen on the Dragon version, btw?
