New user trying to register

A new user, Tormod, is trying to register but not getting very far - looks like new registrations are disabled for now. Is someone helping Simon out with these? Which direction should I point them in?

I have enabled registration for the time being. Let me know if Tormod is still having problems getting signed up.

I made it through the captchas. Are private messages (PM) also disabled on the forums?
In case Robcfg reads this, please tell me where to post DrCasBin patches...

On the topic of registration, when looking at the member list sorted by joining date, I am pretty sure everybody who joined between Johnha and me are spammers...

You are probably right. We're cleanig out the spammers every now and then.

Another user, Peter, is trying to register now!
Is it possible to configure moderated registration requiring a little bit of justification text, a la Stairway To Hell / Stardot?
