Just some test cases. The V9958 is already emulated for use in the MSX2, so it's just a case of adding a new Workpak2+ device and mapping the V9958.

One thing that worries me though is that in later versions of Mame, I cannot load tapes with machine code programs as they just stop loading... Nigel, is that known or should I report it on MameTesters? I wasn't aware of that, cas or wav? This reminds me that extended cas is still not implemented. ...

I'd say this is because XRoar is a dedicated Dragon emulator that provides state of the art low-level emulation, whereas MAME is more general-purpose (and much older, too). My question is does the EXEC &HE002 directly execute the same &HE002 as I can PEEK from BASIC (which is just full of 0x7E), or does some strange decoding happen which makes the EXEC command somehow get routed to the &HC000 location? The ROM is mirrored, so you should see the ROM at &C000 and &E000.
