Re: repaired games from bad tapes

I would be interested to know which tools and OS you used to manipulate the WAV.
only had partial success with Audacity.
if i find anymore duff recordings, i know where to send them. ;)

If everything keeps the way it´s going, it will take some time but seems salvageable.
nice one!

Trivial Crosswords (Quickbeam / *Pulser)
Cassette version.

you must load a question block 1-15 before the starting game.
use cursor keys to move to the start of word square, then press "A" for Across or "D" for Down clue.

B&H Demonstration Tape.
salvaged programs from poor WAV recording.
*unable to save "Tool Kit".

good news is, there was a demo of Moon Lander/Rescue with the missing lines needed in the Full version.
so that game code is complete now. 8-)

once the program had loaded the enter code word screen.
i used MAME debugger to view the memory.
All the words can be seen in one long string.
So it was easy to split up into 5 letter codes. :ugeek:

Re: repaired games from bad tapes

No worries. :D that util, looks the business. 8-) i am using a normal hex compare tool. only the tapes (CAS files) that throw errors, are brought to my attention.
