Re: Dragon Meetup - it's not long now!

We'll miss you Rob, it won't be the same without you!

It would be good to have a Dragon Alpha, because there's going to be a few new people who've not seen one. Plus it's cool.

Dragon Meetup - it's not long now!

It's not long now! So I thought I'd start a thread about what we're bringing, what we'd like to see and what's happening. There's a thread on Facebook too. We thought the theme for this year could be 'software' - so bring all your games and utilities, all your floppies and tapes, stuff you've writte...

Re: Is Tormod still active?

I know he's still alive and letting me badger him with endless questions about FUZIX. His website is still up - http://tormod.me/ and there's a contact email at the foot of the product list. Maybe drop him a line?

Cheers, Tony

Re: Dragon Meetup 2021 - November 27th/28th

Not wishing to sound pessimistic, but I'm guessing the virus situation will be worse than it is now, due to kids back at school. Happy to wear a mask and/or spend time chatting in the car park if that's what it takes :) To reassure people a little on that front, we'll be holding the event in the ma...

If it comes to it, you could always spend your two weeks in quarantine in the museum :)

Re: Serial Numbers

Blimey, you have some early machines! I thought my 003300 was old. Are these from 'back in the day', or more recent purchases? Just intrigued!

Re: XRoar support for the RACE cage (4 slots)

Just to let you know I have a RACE and an Orch-90 cart (both original and Ed's new one), so happy to test anything anyone wants tested on real hardware.

And indeed, you can't read the currently used slot - and yes, reading &HFEFF will change the active slot!

Dragon Meetup 2021 - November 27th/28th

Well, it's been a while! But we're going to have another Meetup at last! It's at the usual venue - the Centre for Computing History in Cambridge - but this time it's for a whole weekend. As always, there'll be lots of Dragons, add-ons, upgrades and peripherals to look at, and all the latest software...

Re: DRAM data retention time

And here it is working happily on a D64. A little fiddlier - socketing the RAM was a bit of a nightmare, as the tiniest bit of solder left on the component side would mean torn pads and traces when I tried to the remove the chip (so there's a few bodge wires on the underside!). But it's sitting ther...
