Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano
Cheers- the image worked, but as you say Out of Memory errors were pretty common. I can see that this is a bit of a problem without a burned EPROM - limits the use a little bit i would have thought? i take it from that most folk have a burned imaged then. hmmm... Yes, to get the most out of HDBDOS ...

Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano
OK, since you are loading HDBDOS to RAM at $6000-$8000, any game that loads into that memory area is likely to crash. HDBDOS is much more useful when burned on an EPROM cartridge. You could write some code to load the game at a lower memory address, detach HDBDOS, relocate the game and run it. Check...

Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano
saying that, still trying to get the DIR to actually give me a directory tho. another school-boy error i assume. Make sure you are using DECB (CoCo) formatted disks. HDBDOS can't read DragonDos disks - they must be converted to DECB format. Here is a sample converted disk. RUNM "EDDIE.BIN" should w...

Re: NitrOS-9 on Dragon 32 (unmodded)
Hahaha Cool :D Also should be useful for testing the 80 column board OS9 drivers ;) Can't use an emulator for that. I believe that using an 80 column board you can get a couple more free pages, since the VDG memory is freed. You still won't be able to run basic09, but at least the format command sho...

Re: DIY: 80 column WordPak board (CRT9128)
The credit goes to Luis (aka retrocanada76) who designed this board. Luis's board is based on Tony DiStefano's design which was featured in the June 88 issue of the Rainbow. Luis has added several improvements like base address selection and shared his improved design on OSHPark. Here is the origina...

Re: NitrOS-9 v030209
tormod has recently fixed the errors in the Dragon NitrOS9 builds. The D64 dsk images here http://www.nitros9.org/latest/ should now work fine. XRoar needs a JVC or VDK header to properly recognize these disks (except the 180k disks). Here is a 360k NitrOS9 vdk disk that should boot fine also under ...

Re: DIY: 80 column WordPak board (CRT9128)
Here is the NitrOS9 80 column wordpak boot disk in DragonDos format, as requested by Pere.
With this disk image you can use the WordPak without drivewire. Of course, a y-cable or a multipak interface is required in this case.
UPDATE: added DragonDos disk image with the Basic WordPak drivers.
