Re: PSU Pictures
Well in that case, I'd really go for the smallest triple switched mode power supply I can get on ebay or in the shops (i.e MW T-60A). If you look on the (SIEMENS-)schematics, you will find the required specs: +5VDC: 1400 mA +12VDC: 250 mA -5VDC: 50mA It's really easy to build such a power supply. Al...

Re: modified Tandy rom images for use with Dragon multi-cart
No, there is not. I just modified some calls, like audio-on, outchar, getkey... And, in some cases, I put in "audio-off" prior to jumping to the joystick-read routine. It's all just CoCo to Dragon conversion. The multi-cart exactly behaves like a normal cartridge, well it is nothing else

Re: PSU Pictures
Ehhm, I'm failing to see the point behind that. What are you aiming at? Of course modern switched-mode power supplies have a better efficiency, that's well known. But who cares? It's just a handful of old computers pulling a few watts...

Re: PSU Pictures
Ok, I'm going to post a few pictures of mine. Unfortunately, the housing can't be opened up. They used eye-bolts.

modified Tandy rom images for use with Dragon multi-cart (1)
I'd like to upload a few modified Tandy rom images. Testing the original roms with the multi-cartridge showed a few incompatibilities. I modified those roms and tested them on real hardware. They seem to be working now. Don't kill me, if there might be another crash under certain circumstances. I di...

Re: PSU Pictures
@ robcfg: Is there much to say about the transformers ("power bricks")? Maybe we could just append those below the board section? Btw. I really had to laugh, when I saw that transformer for the first time. Most of the computers had such a huge and heavy brick, but that one is so tiny, that you could...

Re: PSU Pictures
Obviously there is no heat sink needed. It's the -5VDC-regulator, which does not have to deliver much current (just a few op-amps and the old 16kDRAMS). I 'd like to think the screw at the 12VDC-regulator is there only due to mechanical reasons, to firmly attach the heavy heat sink to the board on b...
