Re: Printer options ?
Hi John, I use an Epson LX80 with my Dragon and it works a treat (as well as any dot matrix can). Dragon User ran quite a few articles on compatible printers. If no one else already has a picture or diagram of the printer cable that they can upload then I will try and take a picture of mine in a fe...

Printer options ?
Hi folks, I would like to get an old school printer to compliment my Dragon setup but not sure where to start. I know the Dragon's printer port is parallel centronics but not even sure which cable I need to buy for a start. If I search on ebay for centronics printer cable, looking at the pictures of...

Re: Loading images on the Dragon
I've been trying again to no avail :( I have moved the files to my D drive and I am running command prompt as administrator. I can't get the Raw2Pmode4.exe to convert the image using the typed prompts as instructed but if I physically drag the .raw image onto the Raw2Pmode4.exe icon, it converts it....

Re: Loading images on the Dragon
Thanks for your reply. I actually changed the name of my file from merv.raw.PM4 to just merv.PM4, so the file name is correct. I am not sure what is going wrong as I have followed your instructions very carefully but it still won't open it. I tried from scratch several times last night and failed ea...

Thanks for your reply.
I have done that now but it cannot open the .PM4 file. here is a screenshot from command prompt. No doubt I am doing something wrong.

Re: Loading images on the Dragon
Hi, I am trying to convert a picture using this method but I can't get the downloaded programs to run. When I try to open any of the included exe files (DrBinCas etc) they open briefly for a split second and then close again. I am using windows 8.1 (64bit) and i've tried running as admin and all com...

Re: 5.25 floppy question
Yes, you are right. You only need the flat cable with no twists. If you don't get the drive to work properly, then either the drive needs maintenance (like replacing the belt, though my drives are working with no repairs) or you have to play with the variable capacitor (the round yellow piece) and ...

Re: 5.25 floppy question
Hi guys, Hope this is the relevant place to post this. I have a single drive original Dragon floppy drive and one of Lafumat's recreated floppy controllers. As I only have one drive, am I correct in thinking that I do not need a twist in my cable at all ? Just a straight wired floppy cable from a PC...
