Re: 80 Column OS/9 Software for the DragonPlus ...

Here's a version of the minted WYSIWYG editor which I hacked together for the 80 column DragonPlus screen driver...

I had a copy of this running briefly on Tony's DragonPlus machine at the Dragon meetup last year, but I don't think I posted it anywhere.

Re: Faulty Dual Floppy Disc Drive - Repair?

Hi Patrick, If you are hoping to back your disks up to modern PCs and disk images which can be loaded in an emulator, or from which files can be extracted into modern PCs using other tools, then it sounds like Drivewire is probably the way to go, in terms of minimal setup. You'll need a cable, which...

Re: Faulty Dual Floppy Disc Drive - Repair?

Hi Casper, There are a bunch of possible issues, from power supply, dead drive board, seized motors or other mechanics, to floppy controller calibration. Are you on the Dragon Facebook group? It's a bit more active and might help find someone local who can help... BBC disk drives are a good source o...

Re: 80 Column OS/9 Software for the DragonPlus ...

I took a look at this, and compared, among other things, the Dynacalc executable across the Dragon, Tandy and the aforementioned Nitros9 versions. All were the same! So I went back to the idea that the Dynacalc.trm file must have the parameters in it... that is after all what is claimed in the Dynac...

Re: 80 Column OS/9 Software for the DragonPlus ...

Termcap? Sadly nope. Not in OS9 6809 (L1 or L2). Dynacalc has an application specific termcap-type file, Dynacalc.trm, but it's not documented, and the utilities for configuring stuff using it are only for printer stuff. Worse, all the display drivers implement different sets of control characters. ...

Re: 80 Column OS/9 Software for the DragonPlus ...

Very likely... unfortunately...

Nitros9 control codes != DragonData Go51 ones...

I think disasm'ing this version of Dynacalc and the standard Tandy and Dragon Data ones and doing some diffs might be useful though.
Same for comparing the dynacalc term config files.

Re: Attempting to get a DragonPlus board going ...

OK, after A LOT of faffing, I think I have conjured up a new OS9 system disk which likes 64k Dragon 32s... and should be OK for normal Dragon 64 architecture machines with proper decoding for FF00-FF08 as well. The problem was not in the ACIA6551 driver, which isn't loaded by the DragonData OS9 syst...

Re: Attempting to get a DragonPlus board going ...

Hi Ciaran,

I think 95% of 32(64) machines will just have an upper 32k decoding mod. I have an exception, but even that was upgraded in two stages, 64K mod first, ACIA board added later.
