Re: Project 2
Ok, I'll try to post progress updates from here on in. I'll give some thought to where I can share videos, I'd rather avoid YouTube while the game is still in development. The basic premise of the game is pretty much unaltered ie. avoid enemies, grab magic stars as they float past and fill your gold...

Re: Project 2
Hi @Shock Trooper. The game is in a fairly advanced state but to my shame is not yet finished. It has evolved considerably though since it's inception, plus I've shifted development over to the Game Master cartridge (bank switched roms+sound chip), at least for the initial physical release. I'm dete...

Re: Text Adventure Creator Program - was there one?
@Commodore I've not used Lantern myself but, yes, my understanding is you can create your own adventure games on a Windows, Mac or Linux machine and kick out binaries for a variety of targets including 8-bit computers. I'm guessing the CoCo output should run on the Dragon but obviously the keyboard ...

Re: Text Adventure Creator Program - was there one?
IIRC Evan Wright wrote a modern Adventure Game authouring tool for the CoCo which runs on PC and outputs a m/c binary. He gave a presentation at CoCoFest last year or maybe the year before. If I can find the video again I'll post a link. Edit: The tool is called Lantern. http://retroteacher.net/lant...

Cool news about WordPak2+ emulation.
Looking forward to having a play with this myself.

Hi Tony.
Sounds great!
So this year does everyone need to register/pay in advance if they're attending?

Re: Dragon 32 Project Leader
Hi Ian and welcome. :) It would be cool to hear a first-hand account of how the Dragon came to fruition from the point where Mettoy approached PA Technology. The Dragon is a great computer (IMO) but was largely overlooked by the burgeoning but also dominant games development industry of its day. Wit...
