Re: The MOOH memory & SPI board
To celebrate that XRoar (development branch, snapshots) now has preliminary MOOH support, here is the simplest way to try out NitrOS-9 Level 2 on an emulated Dragon 32: Download this NitrOS-9 disk image (for Becker port / DriveWire emulation) and insert in the first disk slot (0) in the DW4 DriveWir...

Re: The MOOH memory & SPI board
I made some short, shaky videos: Power cycling and booting FUZIX with the kernel loader in a boot ROM on the board: http://toolshed.sourceforge.net/fuzix/fuzix-on-mooh_1120k.mp4 (4MB) NitrOS-9 Level-2 booting (using DriveWire): http://toolshed.sourceforge.net/fuzix/nitros9l2mooh_drivewire.mp4 (865KB)

Vintage Computer Festival in Zurich 18-19 Nov 2017
The dates for this year's VCF in Zurich are confirmed, November 18-19, 2017. The programme is not finished yet but will be posted on http://vcfe.ch. Of course, as always, there be Dragons! And I would love to see more of them :) Like last year it will take place at the "Rote Fabrik" (Wollishofen sta...

Attaching text files
Hi admins,
I am not able to attach simple .txt .patch or .diff files. Can this be fixed? What are the allowed extensions?
Thanks,
Tormod

Re: The MOOH memory & SPI board
Thanks! Of course, the MOOH board doesn't fully turn your Dragon/CoCo1/CoCo2 into a CoCo3. The CoCo3 has additional graphic capabilities and timer and keyboard interrupts and fine-grained interrupt source selection. Anyway, the timer is not used at all in NitrOS-9 AFAICS. The kernel does not need it...

Re: The MOOH memory & SPI board
Pere, the ROM is a 27C512 type, so 64KB, with some kind of software selection of what comes up at $C000 (not tested yet).
The SPI interface is to a large degree documented in the links in the Spinx-512 post.

Re: The MOOH memory & SPI board
Pere, who could possibly need more than 512KB of RAM :) Yes, I have also looked at it from a cost and complexity issue. I think a lot more people will prefer an affordable 512KB option. Personally I wouldn't investigate in larger capacities unless there is a solid base of software to take advantage ...

Re: The MOOH memory & SPI board
Ken, I guess you just did :) I will post in the "Sales" section when it is ready for the "general public". But I am happy to already serve early adopters who can live with some potential upgrades and exchanges. Until we have SD-card/SPI drivers for NitrOS-9, running NitrOS-9 will require DriveWire o...

The MOOH memory & SPI board
As soon as I had the Spinx-512 board working correctly, I started on the successor but due to the VCF and everything that followed, the development was stalled for a year, with mainly just some PCB routing left. The last weeks I have picked up on it and here we go: mooh.jpg The MOOH - a 512 KB memor...
