Re: dragon 32 fault
It's slightly baffling that it gets as far as it does - you'd expect either working-but-duff-video or not-working-at-all. FMEA probably going to be quite difficult with this one - have you looked around the board for all the obvious stuff? ICs loose, scorch marks, that sort of thing :) As has been n...

Re: Copy Text from Xroar
Allowing text selections the other way around would be - well, not completely impossible, but probably less useful than it sounds. For a start, maximum 16 lines at a time. Then how do you determine reliably when a line has ended rather than continued over to the next one? Anyway, what you could try ...

XRoar 1.4 released
https://www.6809.org.uk/xroar/ Finally stopped fiddling. The big things are the more complete composite video simulation and Windows dialog boxes. Let me know of any obvious bugs necessitating an immediate 1.4.1 release! ;) NTSC colour tweaks for slightly better "cyan" Initial support for middle-bu...

Re: XRoar Paste feature
Middle-button paste is actually implemented in the latest snapshot build
Edit: middle button is the typical approach to pasting in X, so that's the only way I've implemented it so far. If you have a middle button, that is (sorry again, mac users)

Re: XRoar video debug builds
Working towards a release now - there are snapshots in the usual place . The release won't have any of the fancy tuning as the point of that was to find some settings that worked. The new code replaces "-ccr simulated" - the old NTSC-only composite renderer is still available as "-ccr partial". By d...

Re: Dragon 64 motherboard replacement
Can't think of a reason it wouldn't work. We're talking adding a couple of centimetres to the signal path via a port you know works otherwise. Weird. I had a board similar to the oojamiflip and ran a disk controller off it for years on a real D64. I might still have it around - I'll report back if I...

Re: Dragon 64 motherboard replacement
I think I've got all LS chips in the issue 5 board but I'll go check that in a sec... Is there a particular problem with HCT gates and floating pins? They're CMOS, and CMOS doesn't like floating inputs - I believe the uncertain state can cause them to transition rapidly, leading to high current draw.

Re: Dragon 64 motherboard replacement
Interesting - yes, you'll certainly have hit on the issue there! My "issue 4" didn't connect MS# at all, as the connection wasn't clear on the scans I'd transcribed from. I fixed mine by bodging it to +5V, as there was no reason in the Dragon's operation for it to ever tristate the address lines (an...

Re: XRoar, How to append to the end of a TAPE file
You're probably alright saying "yes" to that actually - it's badly phrased, but it's a windows/gtk built-in dialog I think. What XRoar will actually do by default is append to the file (you can press "rewind" to overwrite). Which is altering it, but you shouldn't lose data. I wonder if there's a way...
