Re: DIY: 80 column WordPak board (CRT9128)
The NitrOS9 disk image above also includes patched copies of Stylograph and Dynacalc. Stylograph is patched for 80 columns and additional keymap patches (for more logical key assignments) as featured in Dragon User 3'87. For Dynacalc, I've used the Tandy version since it has optional support for mou...

DIY: 80 column WordPak board (CRT9128)
Luis (CocoDemus) has recently shared on the cocolist his design for an 80 column CoCo WordPak cartridge based on the CRT9128 chip. Here is his demonstration video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGsoAUJbZi4 I can confirm that his design works great also on the Dragon! My Dragon now displays nice and...

Re: CoCoMax for the Dragon
I have managed to get disk save/load working also on a real Dragon (with Drivewire) using a different CoCoMax source disk. Apparently, there are a couple of CoComax versions on the web which use different methods to remove the Hires joystick routines. The attached version (based on the "Krakomax" re...

CoCoMax for the Dragon
One of the cool things about Drivewire and HDBDOS for the Dragon, is that it makes it easier to port CoCo based disk programs over to the Dragon. CoCoMax is one of those programs I've always wanted to have on my Dragon 64. It is a mac paint clone for the CoCo that was (and still is) an amazing demon...

Deskmate (Tandy OS9) for Dragon
Deskmate, which was released by Tandy for the CoCo2 OS9 Level 1 in 1985 , was Tandy's idea of an integrated GUI based "office" suite of applications. There's a nice review on page 11 here: http://www.colorcomputerarchive.com/coco/Documents/Magazines/MOTD/MOTD%20V2%20N3.pdf I have now ported Deskmate...

Re: Utility for converting a binary file to a .CAS file
The difference between DragonDos and DECB binaries is in the preamble/postamble (which are similar to the namefile block in CAS files) DragonDos binary files have a 9 byte header of the following format: Offset Value 0x00 0x55 0x01 Filetype 0x02:0x03 Load Address 0x04:0x05 Length 0x06:0x07 Exec Addr...

Re: Utility for converting a binary file to a .CAS file
Yep, sure. I have sort of a hack, on a utility I have to check the block's crcs, that extracts the binary files to disk. So I can clean a bit and add it to the program. I think that, most probably, I'll have it before the end of the week or earlier next week. Quite busy lately... :D Great, thanks. ...

Re: Utility for converting a binary file to a .CAS file
Is there a utility to convert the other way around: CAS to BIN?
I couldn't find any.
Rob, this could be a useful addition
