The external Dragon PSU is nothing more than a transformer. I had to construct a replacement PSU a while ago and documented the effort here. US users will need a different transformer to fit to US power standards.

I gave up on the composite monitor a while back and settled for a normal HDMI screen with an Atlona AT-HD12D video converter and scaler. Works really well.

I also believe some of the later Microdeal titles were released on floppies with some kind of copy protection. Mr Dig comes to mind.
