Re: How to transfer Telewriter files?
Just changed the shortcut setup, but it did not make any difference. Maybe this has to do with the TW code rather than the emulation... but <CLEAR> is still unavailable at the moment (except in Dragon standard text mode), so I'm still unable to print anything from XRoard/TW.

Re: How to transfer Telewriter files?
I could get the installation to work on my Win10 work computer. Now, I'm still stuck with that <CLEAR> key emulation issue. What is that "backstick" key you are referring to?! I tried everything I could think of, to no avail. At the bottom right of my keyboard is a group of 6 keys. The upper 3 are P...

Re: How to transfer Telewriter files?
I am now trying on my personal PC (XP-based), which contains a full installation of the main Dragon emulators. Here's my latest attempt: C:\Donnees\Dragon\XRoar\xroar.exe -machine dragon32 -keymap-fr -kbd-translate -lp-file XRoar-prtoutput.txt Yet that does not work any better, although I am able to...

Re: How to transfer Telewriter files?
I've been trying to setup the latest available version of XRoar (0.36.2 for Win10/64 bits) using the following startup template: C:\...\Downloads\Dragon\xroar-0.36.2-w64\xroar.exe -lp-file xroarprt with '...' above being the actual part of the path for my User. The usual 'ddos10.rom' file is in the ...

Re: How to transfer Telewriter files?
Thank you very much for the tips. I had the '-lp' redirection in mind, but was not sure it could work with printing from software rather than from the OS. Will have to try that and see how it works!

Re: How to transfer Telewriter files?
Thank you very much for your quick reply. I was thinking along the lines of printing the documents to some dummy output media which could be on the PC side, but maybe that is not possible. I'll try to retrieve my saved disks and post one here, to begin with. But thank you very much already for your ...

How to transfer Telewriter files?
Hello all, I may have already asked you, but I cannot remember any longer now. I do have a number of letters exchanged in the 80's with friends through the disk version of Telewriter. Those have been stored on disks and were converted to ".vdk" files many years ago, but I would like to know how I ma...

Re: New Member, long time Dragon 32 owner
Sorry for taking so long to get around to this. been repairing a Spectrum and, well, playing games on my Amiga  ... Don't we all do?! :D I don't play much these days, but I still enjoy listening to the brilliant soundtrack of some games, such as "James Pond 2 - Robocod". Sometimes, I even use...

Re: A next-generation Dragon?
snarkhunter –- I'm quite certain that every retro-product that's being sold to the public today is using emulation (consoles like Sega, PS1, NES, etc. and of course TheC64 and Spectrum Next), so there's really no point in 'reinventing the wheel', as you said. Now imagine a 'Dragon II' set in next-g...

Re: A next-generation Dragon?
What features do you think a 'Dragon II' should have? Obviously backwards compatibility with old software is a must, Hello, I do not think this would really be needed since the power of currently available processors easily allows full software emulation, which means backwards compatibility could b...
