Re: Will my Dragon still work in 30 years?

It comes down to a lot of different variables. First of all there are much fewer components so there is less to go wrong an...

Re: Raspberry Pi...

This is good to know - it is one of the things I've been trying to get around to...

I still think a RPi boxed up inside a retro (D32/64) case would be pretty cool, even better now I know it is man enough for the job

Re: Prince of Persia

From what I can see the battery should work - similar devices are common enough on other devices and last for much, much longer (years). Looking at the battery specs on Farnell they do require a lot of charging though - casual use of the computer (a few hours a day) would not actually charge it up. ...

Re: Prince of Persia

This I have to try - not sure on the availability of SRAM chips that small these days but for the sake of a few logic chips and a battery it has to be worth a try.

Time to dig out my electronic cad software and see if I can't get a prototype board together that actually plugs in ;)

Re: Screenshots editing

How are you grabbing the pictures in the first place? Have you tried things like alt+prtscr instead of just prtscr? This will give you just the window rather than the whole desktop but you'll notice this isn't 640x480 anyway, you'll need to resize it or crop it. Personally I prefer using slightly mo...

Re: Ubuntu 12.04 XROAR help

I think I'll have to get a VM put together in anticipation of the real hardware arriving and give it a spin

Re: Ubuntu 12.04 XROAR help

Any chance we can get this turned into something resembling a coherent guide for Ubuntu users? I've not tried XRoar out on my Ubuntu setup but I had planned on experimenting on such things with my Raspberry Pi when it arrives (only another 2 weeks...) - I was seriously contemplating seeing if I coul...
