Re: MAME Emulation

Here's MAME vdk loading code: bool vdk_format::load(io_generic *io, uint32_t form_factor, floppy_image *image) { uint8_t header[0x100]; io_generic_read(io, header, 0, 0x100); int header_size = header[3] * 0x100 + header[2]; int track_count = header[8]; int head_count = header[9]; int file_offset = h...

Re: MAME Emulation

I think it maybe simpler than that. Upon trying to load the image with my own code, I realised that I was misinterpreting the name field in the header, to be actually after the header instead of being part of the header. So a basic size check fails. I'll check MAME's code and see if that is what is ...

Re: Dragon GameBase

I've tried this port to MacOS: http://sidmusic.org/gamebase64browser

But it is entirely written in Objective C, and I couldn't manage to make your database work properly there even after converting it to sqlite.

Re: Dragon GameBase

I couldn’t get it to work on MacOS (even after converting the mdb to sqlite and a lot of other stuff), and I got weir results running it on a Windows XP virtual machine. It’s a pity that the creators didn’t choose a multi-platform window library (FLTK, Qt, etc...) and that it’s so Commodore-centric,...

Re: repaired games from bad tapes

This one feels a bit pointless, as the instructions are narrated during the load. That’s why is was uploaded only as a wav file. Otherwise you’re losing part of it, which is not acceptable from a preservation point of view. I mean, it’s called “Your Dragon’s Voice”, if you take the voice away it mak...

Re: Dragon 32 Programmer's Reference Guide

Hi Jim, welcome to the Archive!

Thanks for the pictures! I'll create a page for it and add them.

You can request access to the Wiki, so in the future you can create pages and add content.

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Retro computer festival

Nice video!

It's a pity that I live more than 1000km away, otherwise I wouldn't miss a chance to go to the museum

I loved your video on the Dragon Meetup this year too, thanks a lot!

Re: CoCoVGA upgrade

If the two boards worked well together then it would be excellent!

In any case, I’d choose the 64 or 200, the one you are more comfortable with.
