Run a BAS program from within M/C

hello, it seems I have lost my notes. I am sure I had done this some time ago. Inside a machine code programm, I have sent the command LOAD"ProgName.BAS" and the disk sytem has loaded it succesfully. Then the start adress is saved to $19 (usualyy $2401 for PCLEAR4 with disks) The start+length is sto...

Re: DIY: 80 column WordPak board (CRT9128)

Hello Ken, I have had the time to transfer the NitrOS-9 disk that you prepared for me (DOS bootable) and tested ... I attach here some screenshots. First to mention is that one more time I lose a char on the left margin and possibly three on the right one. How could I change this settings in NitrOS-...

Re: DriveWire deluxe cased adapters

Hello Tormod, I have an "Inverting Drivewire adapter for Dragon" that I bought from you some time ago. Will this adapter fit inside the case you are talking about? Or will this one be a complete new set (adapter board and case)? If this were the case, but the old adapter fits well inside, would you ...

Re: DIY: 80 column WordPak board (CRT9128)

by the way, I didn't mention before, but I hope that retrocanada will not mind the mods we are doing to the very first drive he made for his WordPak cartridge! I have never asked for authorization to change it, thinking/hoping that it should be an 'open source' project. Any advance we will do on tha...

Re: DIY: 80 column WordPak board (CRT9128)

my goodness! I have been using GDB because I have not been able to find any Dragon assembler-debug-disassembler that allows me to trace a resident program that gets awakened from the Basic prompt. I need a lot of practice on GDB, I see that you are miles ago from me! I was searching for ways to make...

Re: DIY: 80 column WordPak board (CRT9128)

wow!, what a great job you've done, Tormod I will read it carefully next week and I'm sure that with this information we will find a reasonable patch to avoid the annoying lines being printed together. Clearly, every time we change the environment constants, programs show unexpected behavior, but th...

Re: Loading another BASIC in RAM (MAP1)

well, once (Steve) solved the problems I had to test a different basic in a real Dragon64, just to see the enhancements added by Steve Woolham, I thought it could be of interest for people that has not a lot of time but would like to test these versions so that they could decide if it is worth burni...

Re: DIY: 80 column WordPak board (CRT9128)

hello, I attach here a version of the driver that accepts spaces between PRINT and the @ sign. You will find the Basic installer and the driver in CAS and WAV versions, besides the BAS in text format and the driver in DRM format. An VDK disk is added too. I have detected an annoying "Basic - Dragon ...

Re: Loading another BASIC in RAM (MAP1)

yep! you both are right  When talking about Basic, I use to read the book: Das Dragon Lexikon and there is ... the Dragon 32 Basic ROM. At the end of the book there are the Dragon 64 differences and this is an affected area. :( Just to show you what has fooled me, this is the D32 code I first ...

Re: Loading another BASIC in RAM (MAP1)

hello tormod, thanks a lot for the explanation. I knew about $B3CA because I used it, after an Steve's advice to go back to ROM mode from RAM where another different D.O.S. had been installed. But I didn't know that trick on $BB72. On enhanced Basic, this change produces JMP <$A7 to the charget rout...
