Re: Grosvenor AX25 and AMTOR

Success! The ROM is definitely encrypted.

The address lines A0 and A1 are swapped, and the switch selects which half of the ROM is addressed with line A14.

The data lines are also swapped in order MSB 3, 2, 1, 0, 7, 6, 5, 4 LSB.

Re: Grosvenor AX25 and AMTOR

Has anyone taken a look at this? Considering it's a 32K ROM I'd assumed that the switch would simply select which half is paged in so that each program can be called with EXEC 49152. This doesn't seem to be the case so I'm wondering if they've switched some data lines to obfuscate the code. Need to ...

Looking good, and works in Chrome here.

Both copies of the ROM 'seemed' to work in emulation.
sixxie wrote: Fri May 10, 2019 7:16 am I'd say the version with 0xfd is right, as following an effective "LSLD", it turns TST >$0656 into STD >$0656, which seems more useful.
I agree that the version with 0xfd is preferred.

Re: MAME Emulation

if the sendkeys can not be made to work in emulated mode, could there be a HOT key shortcut to switch the mode. then that hotkey could be the last key sent in the command to automate it. example sendkeys=cloadm:exec{enter}[ScrLk] thanks for you time! :) I think what you're looking for is the -autob...

Re: MAME Emulation

I know what you mean, but previously you could just take out the disk rom and it would boot without the disk controller. Sounds like a bug that was inadvertently fixed. The Dragon, as the CoCo, should start without the disk system, as they don’t have any out of the box, and add one of the disk cont...

Re: MAME Emulation

Yes, but now the ddos rom is mandatory and the system will not boot without it. The dragon32 driver has specified dragon_fdc as the default ext device for at least 4 years. I tried mame dragon32 in the 0.209 release and DDOS loaded, which version is it not the default? To start without DDOS you cou...

Re: MAME Emulation

with one of these NEW updates, the extension slot command-line got broken. this used to boot the dragon32 machine without DDOS. mame dragon32 and required this to turn it on. mame dragon32 -ext dragon_fdc it's always enabled now. DDOS has been the default cartridge for many years now, nothing has c...

Re: MAME Emulation

It would be nice to be able to specify a custom palette, for example. But I feel that would be part of a larger discussion. I'm trusting your judgement on the colours as I have nothing to compare them with, they should match the real hardware which is what you've done, though I'm not sure how good ...
