Any chance of getting any better photos of this cartridge, particularly the other side of the PCB?
We already have the Tandy Sound/Speech Cartridge emulated which works well with Module Man, but would be nice to get this in there too.

Re: MAME - Sound Extension Module
Yep, for any recordings I'd like the programs too to compare, thanks.robcfg wrote:I can dig if I have the programs to play them still around.
Can you also confirm that all sound produced by the cart is output through the mono jack, and not the TV?

Re: MAME - Sound Extension Module
Thanks, if it's not quite right it will be the clock on the AY8910, so knowing exactly what that should be will help too.

Re: MAME - Dragon Plus
Thanks, should prove useful. The error simply says DISK FILE READ ERROR, could the image be bad or do I have more issues, who knows!Alastair wrote:You could try the FLEX User Group.

MAME - Sound Extension Module
Does anyone have a Sound Extension Module that could record some sounds from?
I have this working in MAME but would like to compare what I'm hearing with the real thing.

Re: MAME - Dragon Plus
I also found that I couldn't get OS/9 to work with the board but got Flex working ok. Good to know it's not just me then. I did implement the RAM disk part of the Plus board in MESS a few years back but never implemented the video part, but it's probably got removed over time. There was very little...

Looks like initialising the virtual disk writes to the wrong area, it' a good test case ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: MAME - Dragon 200-E
The internal/external character switch is done by poking values to 0xFF22. It makes sense that $FF22 is poked as this is PIA1 Port B, but I'm only seeing 0x04 being written during key presses. I'd expect 0x10 to select the EXT ROM. I wonder whether I need to do something with link LK1 to indicate t...

Re: MAME - Dragon Plus
I haven't been able to test the board on my Dragon 64, but I'll try to get some more info for you next week. Thanks. I also tried the OS9 for the Dragon Plus from the archive. It doesn't even switch to the plus videoram to write anything to it. Not sure whether this is due to GO51 not being found o...

MAME - Dragon 200-E
I'm adding the external character generator to the Dragon 200-E in MAME but the INT/EXT line on the 6847 is never being asserted. It's hooked up to PIA1 Port B bit 4, same as GM0, but is never set to enable use of the external ROM. Also looked at the vdg_fetch_handler_chargen in XROAR but also seems...
