Re: Chess on the Dragon

Well I'm all set up for tomorrow. I've fired up my iPod (had to find it first) and have installed a file manager app so that I can actually play the WAV file. I just hope it loads!
Most games that I've tried have loaded this way.

I am assuming that I use CLOADM and then type EXEC at the prompt?

Re: Chess on the Dragon

I certainly will. I might not get to it today now, but I will hopefully have time tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to it. :ugeek:

Re: Chess on the Dragon

Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread, but I have recently been doing some experiments with my VIC 20. I have used it to play Sargon II Chess versus a Saitek Mephisto. Sargon II beat the Mephisto at the highest level, while only on level 1 itself. I should add, that I have never beaten Sargon II...

Re: The Dallas Quest

Looks pretty good. I also liked Dallas, well I still do to be honest.

Unfortunately I'm not the man to convert this, I wouldn't know how to.

Re: I got a Dragon 32!

I'm pretty sure it will work from my iPad now I have the extra instructions. I have so far found it to be very reliable since the Dragon has its full compliment of 32K.
If it doesn't work I'll certainly try to make a cassette version.

Re: I got a Dragon 32!

That will be why it didn't work then Zephyr!

I noticed the readme, but only as I clicked on the icon to play the .wav file to load it.
When it didn't work I forgot about it.
At least that particular mystery is probably solved, and it looks like double speed is fine too!

Re: How to run the Dragon at double speed

Well I let the Dragon warm up for at least 30 minutes as prescribed, I then loaded up the game, and it worked. Which I guess is good news.

I have now had it running for 20 minutes, so I suppose that looks pretty promising, as it has been running without hitch.

Re: I got a Dragon 32!

Well I finally got the old Dragon out of the loft and tried a few things. Firstly the Christmas Music seemed to have a problem loading, which was rather a shame. It went through the process, but never seemed to end to allow me to type EXEC or RUN, despite the recording having finished. As for the Co...
