Re: Flagon Bird
No, its thank you- and of course Sixxie for the wonderful X roar online. I even got to waffle on a bit about the Dragon itself, old computing generally, and Microsoft BASIC- the pupils could relate to a lot of the history as we are close to Fforestfach, which is home to a big Tesco, so most know the...

Re: Flagon Bird
Sorry to necro this thread. Just wanted to say that I showed a whole bunch of year 7's and 8s some retro gaming on the Dragon today, and Flagon Bird went down a total storm. :D I have a lovely picture of an entire y8 class playing it, and one in the attachment in close up that I can show as I have p...

Re: Dunjunz tapes for sale!
Super. Time is not an issue for me. I would just be delighted to add another Dragon game to the collection, they don't come along too often. It is a lovely idea to do an inlay. I still don't have a physical disk-drive, and still enjoy loading from tape. Is there a signed for first class price? Is it...

Re: Dunjunz tapes for sale!
May I ask if there are any of these left, and if so are they still the same price?
I must have missed this thread. Reading apparently is not my strong point....

Re: Fantasy Fight - Cable software.
This encouraged me to dig mine out and load it up for the first time in years. The game is stupidly hard, I had forgotten hpw dificult it was. I recall enjoying it when cheating all those years ago. Incidentally, my version must be late, as despite the correct Cable packaging on the outside, the cas...
Re: Dunjunz
Looking forward to having a go at this. I sadly missed out on playing the recent Hobbit (I have not used emulation since the late 90's/early naughties and don't have a disk drive  ) but I think its fabulous that there are still dedicated people producing Dragon (and Tandy) software. I will be ...

Re: Loading cassettes - IO ERRORs
I have about 250 odd original tapes (including duplicates), and my fail rate is under 4%. It is often the tape player- I have found that switching to a modern upright tape player sometimes does the trick where the traditional type fails. Lots of Dragon games came with 2 or more copies on, so be cert...

Re: Buzzard Bait Cracked - Wave File
Below is a wave file created from the misnamed "Buzzard Bait (1984)(Microdeal)[cr].zip" found in http://archive.worldofdragon.org/archive/index.php?dir=Tapes/Dragon/cas/Microdeal/ it has been tested in XRoar but not yet on a real Dragon. Unlike the other cracks, this version retains the "Tom Mix" l...

Re: Hello all - ex Dragon owner
I see. How does that work vis-a-vis Cashman, Demon seed and all the other super long loaders around 84/5? Were they ever dongled at any point prior to release? Or was it just a case of using the format so that they could introduce the dongle to everything at a later date? BB really was great- FWIW I...
