Re: Dunjunz - with source!
Had a bit of free time this evening so thought I'd fire-up XRoar and have a game of Dunjunz (beta 3.5). I have to say this game is a lot of fun! :D I'm playing on the new Easy mode while I familiarise myself with the game's mechanics and the level of challenge feels spot-on for novice, solo players....

Re: Dunjunz beta1
Heh, not quite that bad - obviously your selection is limited until you've opened the map up a bit. The number just comes from maximum number of doors & keys - in theory it could be as bad as 1 in 20 :). Ah ok, I understand. I agree learning the maps is part of the gameplay and how you ultim...

Re: Dunjunz beta1
Crumbs, in the original you only had a 1 in 20 chance of having the right key. That's hardcore. :D The only reason I brought it up was until you've learned the level layout there's a lot of trial and error involved and often I was `got' by a monster while trying doors. Very cool project though Ciara...

Re: Dunjunz beta1
Had a little play on Dunjunz beta 2.1 in XRoar this evening. I opted for an XBox controller over the keyboard and played as the Fighter. Quite a tricky game to the uninitiated. Exploring the dungeons is good fun but the speed of the monsters makes them quite challenging to shoot/dodge. I have one qu...

Re: Introducing myself
Your ASCII rendition of Pac-Man reminded me of an ASCII side-scrolling shooter written by a work colleague in his spare time.

Re: Introducing myself
Hey Steve, welcome to the forum!
It was nice to meet you in person at the Dragon event in Cambridge.
It tends not to be so busy over here compared to FaceBook but it's still a great place to hang out and share projects or ask questions.

It's nice to be involved with such a great retro community.
It was great having the opportunity to meet people in person, talk about projects or just say `thanks' to those whose help has been invaluable.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Dunjunz & Dragons
Wow, you're rattling through it now Ciaran, putting the rest of us to shame.
I've been on a bit of a hiatus recently while I attend to more pressing matters but hopefully I'm freed-up now and looking forward to Cambridge.

Re: A C compiler that can compile for dragon 32?
Great stuff! Glad things came together for you. :D I'm not familiar with C or CMOC but maybe other users on this forum can help you further? Failing that, maybe try contacting CMOC's author? He's written a number of sample programs, including graphical card games, (which you'll find the source for o...
