@sorchard - Thanks for the earlier response and config suggestion. Audio break-up seems about the same with these settings although I haven't tried tweaking the values. TBH I'm not entirely sure how these settings affect sound quality? :oops: Out of curiosity, have you tried capturing from MAME/MESS...

Bit late to the party and this may be something totally unrelated but here's how XRoar sounds on my Windows PC. This might be the author's preferred format, or he might jump at the chance to make a sequel in machine code with hi-res graphics?
