Re: XRoar Windows packaging - good? bad?

I'm happy with the ZIP files, but I've been using XRoar from the very early days and so I am used to copying over the contents of the ZIP file, I suspect most other people using XRoar also fall in that category.

The question is what would someone who has never used XRoar before prefer?

Re: Opening dragon joysticks

I take it you mean the black "paddle" joysticks as shown in http://archive.worldofdragon.org/index.php?title=Joysticks ? As you can see in the pictures, the two sides are glued together. I can remember opening my old joysticks with simple brute force, since I cannot find them at the moment I cannot ...

I remember seeing some schematics for the keyboard and floppy sections, but can't find them anywhere.

Also attached is the Motorola MC6809 Instruction Set Summary fold-out that came with it.
I see that this is in DOCX format, if anyone wants it in PDF form it is also available on this forum.

P.S. I can still upload the JPEGs if wanted.

Re: A next-generation Dragon?

How about a real OS with a new GUI? The Dragon already has a "real OS" in the shape of NitrOS-9 , any hardware improvements should therefore be of a form that allows the "Dragon II" to use NitrOS-9 Level 2 and Level 3. Would there be a market for such a machine? Back in the 1980s the C64 and ZX Spe...

Re: Dragon DOS variants

I've been using Pere's DragonDOS 1.3a (see http://archive.worldofdragon.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5289#p13272) with XRoar for some years now. Obviously for testing purposes this is not comparable with using real hardware, no motor still running issues for starters, but from my limited tests it ...

Re: New Member, long time Dragon 32 owner

For the RF problems it could be that the modulator needs adjusting - no guarantees but it's a possibility. For information on how to test and adjust see my first post in the following thread: http://archive.worldofdragon.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5613&p=15904 P.S. I still don't know what 'cable...

Re: Autostart tape program?

I am not aware of a single command that will explicitly load and execute a cassette based program but some (many?) commercial programs were written and saved in such a way that they autostarted when they were CLOADMed, perhaps it is those programs you are thinking of.

Re: xroar-snap-2019-49969

Pere, have you tried checking the AVG log files? It could be that it is preventing the latest XRoar from making certain system calls or is placing XRoar in a sandbox. If so then there should be a way to make AVG ignore XRoar, but not having AVG I can't help much on that matter. If all else fails you...
