Re: Dragon DOS variants

I've been using Pere's DragonDOS 1.3a (see http://archive.worldofdragon.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5289#p13272) with XRoar for some years now. Obviously for testing purposes this is not comparable with using real hardware, no motor still running issues for starters, but from my limited tests it ...

Re: New Member, long time Dragon 32 owner

For the RF problems it could be that the modulator needs adjusting - no guarantees but it's a possibility. For information on how to test and adjust see my first post in the following thread: http://archive.worldofdragon.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5613&p=15904 P.S. I still don't know what 'cable...

Re: Autostart tape program?

I am not aware of a single command that will explicitly load and execute a cassette based program but some (many?) commercial programs were written and saved in such a way that they autostarted when they were CLOADMed, perhaps it is those programs you are thinking of.

Re: xroar-snap-2019-49969

Pere, have you tried checking the AVG log files? It could be that it is preventing the latest XRoar from making certain system calls or is placing XRoar in a sandbox. If so then there should be a way to make AVG ignore XRoar, but not having AVG I can't help much on that matter. If all else fails you...

Re: xroar-snap-2019-49969

Pere, I've tried both 32 and 64 bit versions of xroar-snap-2019-49969 on Win 10 and they both work. I did notice, however, that the personal firewall asked for permission for XRoar to access dwmapi.dll and WerFault.exe, perhaps your firewall is blocking this access (since I have never tried other ve...

Re: Launching Dragon 32 games in floppy format ?!

Hello, and welcome to the forum! Sebiohazard, there are two ways to run machine language programs in DragonDOS. The first, using your example of RACER.BIN, is LOAD"RACER.BIN" EXEC the second, and perhaps more convenient method, is RUN"RACER.BIN" Note that for BASIC programs (those with a .BAS extens...

Re: The CoCo Crew Podcast

John, in the latest podcast you mention that you bought a copy of "Leggit!" with that in mind you may be interested in a 1984 TV documentary about Imagine - the company that published the game. Let's just say that BBC did not get the Imagine story they originally thought they were going to get. The ...

Re: Internal error when trying to log out of the wiki

Rob, I've deleted the cookies, cleared the cache, and disabled both NoScript and uBlock Origin, and all to no avail. I'm still getting the same error when I try to log out of the Archive's wiki. At present the only way I can log out is by closing the browser. I can see from the logs that my previous...

Internal error when trying to log out of the wiki

After editing a wiki page I have repeatedly tried to log out, but with no success. I keep getting the following error: Internal error [ hex num ] date & time Fatal exception of type MWException where hex num is a hexadecimal number which changes every time I try to log out and date & time is the dat...

Re: Reproduction of Dragon Data logo stickers for D32/D64

Sorry - but why? Why? Why not? I may be misunderstanding the intentions of Unumlapis but I am under the impression that he is refurbishing a couple of Dragons, including freshening up the cases. If Unumlapis is going to the trouble of having the Dragon Data logo stickers printed professionally and ...
