Thanks Ciaran,
the sound's a bit rough in snap-20091203 (unless you use '-vo sdl'), but it's better than in previous versions, and the clicking has disappeared.

Re: XRoar 0.23 released
Ok. I'm trying 0.23a with '-vo sdl' I'll leave the full screen test for later as I'm currently updating another program. However, although there is no clicking when using XRoar I notice that while running 0.23a with '-vo sdl' crackling does occur when moving the XRoar window, when switching to other...

Re: XRoar 0.23 released
Just adding that I am using XP (Home, SP3, 32-bit) and that I still have the sound problem with xroar-0.23a-windows32. However, unlike for Zephyr full screen works perfectly for me.

Re: Tenuous Link
Was earlier trying to get get Fenmars Total Eclipse to work on the XRoar emulator to no avail; when it asks for the universe to be loaded I have no tape to insert. Are you using the download from this site? If so then I don't see the problem as this download includes both Universe 1 (TE_UNI1.CAS) a...

Re: XRoar 0.23 released
Thanks, I like the hard edge screen, it's much appreciated. But I have a problem with the sound, the Windows version creates a constant clicking even when I try "-fast-sound" or other releases of sdl.dll and libsndfile-1.dll. The only way to get rid of it is with "-ao null" but that's not really a w...

Re: Ring of Darkness - multi stage load
Let's see. I believe that when these emulators encounter the cassette motor on instruction all that the emulators do is 'play' the cassette image that has been loaded, there is no rewind/fast-forward function. Under XRoar, and probably MESS, the simple act of re-loading the cassette image rewinds th...

Re: Dragon replacement power supply
If your skills are up to it, you could try drilling out the pop rivets and removing the cover to see if the problem is anything obvious. With luck it may be something that is simple to repair. I'm not sure of the best way of re-securing the cover though: nuts, bolts, and washers from Meccano perhaps?

Re: Doc: Dragon Companion
Thanks, and whilst I'm downloading I'll finish off what I was going to write in the "Feeding the Dragon ecosystem" topic.
(Of course, I've now realised that I've submitted that entry before I've got round to pressing the submit button for this entry.)

Re: Feeding the Dragon ecosystem
A wiki entry is a good idea, however I will give a brief overview below as a wiki entry will require the filling of several gaps. My conversion experience is limited to cassettes so I cannot help you with the floppy disk issue, I have will have to leave it to others to fill the gaps on converting ca...

Re: Feeding the Dragon ecosystem
Even mor interesting perhaps, enabling creation of PC-based tools to create emulator-compatible files. Think about having a PC-based 6809 assembler writing CAS-files directly, or even a tiny C compiler. (gcc for Dragon, anyone?) Maybe nothing will happen, but it would be good to know that the knowl...
