some of the text mode colours are a off in xroar-snap-20110510-windows32. This is most noticeable with CLS6 (green instead of cyan) and CLS8 (red instead of orange).

To insert a tape into the virtual tape recorder, press Ctrl-L in xroar and select a file with the .cas extension. You can also select wave (.wav) files.
