Re: Programming the 6809

Thanks Rolf, but as a small favour could you insert a blank page after the front cover? The reason is that at present when you display pages side-by-side you get the odd pages on the left and the even pages on the right, an extra page inserted after the cover will correct this. This also applies to ...

Re: Pokes

Hello, I could not tell where I got the attached file from, but it's a chart listing the gaming hints and tips from "Dragon User" (per issue & in chronological order). I felt it could be interesting to some of you here! Kind regards, Lionel I did that and looking at the date I must have uploaded it...

Thanks for your help!
Good to hear, this means that the issue was a DLL problem rather than an XRoar or Win 7 problem.

Re: XRoar 0.28 available

Just out of interest, what happens if you resize the window? In my case it works just fine, see pic below. One difference between my set-up and Rob's is that I use the "Classic" theme in XP whereas Rob appears to be using the default theme in Windows 7. Could this be the cause of the problem or cou...

Re: XRoar 0.28 available

I do not see the problem that Rob sees with the GTK version when using the DLLs in either gtk+-bundle_2.24.10-20120208_win32.zip (the latest version) or gtk+-bundle_2.16.6-20100912_win32.zip (mentioned here ). But with both bundles I had to make a copy of "zlib1.dll" and rename the copy "libz-1.dll"...

Re: XRoar 0.28 available

The Win32 and GTK+2 executables both show icons. I cannot see an icon for the Win64 version, but it may be that 32-bit Windows cannot display Win64 program icons.

Re: Will my Dragon still work in 30 years?

tjewell (T. Jewell? T. J. Ewell?), a dry solder joint can occur when a part is soldered (by leaving the iron on the solder for too long) so your problems are unlikely to be dry solder joints as your Dragons have been working for many years before any problem occurred. That said, you can still check ...

Re: Crap Games Competition?

Here's a quick effort, a quality arcade driving simulation written in BASIC. I call it "Ice Racer" as you drive a car over an ice covered lake during a blizzard. The controls are easy, use the cursor control keys to accelerate, brake, and turn. 10 CLS 5 20 A$=INKEY$ 30 IF A$="↑" THEN SOUND 50,1 40 G...

Re: Dragon 32, peripherals, software, books, magazines.

Luis, you may be better off getting a Tano Dragon from California Digital (or check their eBay listing ). I'm not sure what the postage to Venezuela will be, but from California to Europe they charge about $90 (US). A Tano Dragon is like a Dragon 64 but with NTSC TV output instead of PAL output (as ...
