Re: XRoar 0.29 available
Thanks for the reply :) Sorry I forgot about saying what OS (I'm a fool). I'm running Windows 7 64-Bit, does that mean the bundle linked won't work? The GTK+ version of XRoar is 32-bit so requires 32-bit GTK+. Also with the latest version of XRoar (xroar-snap-20121230-gtk-w32.exe) there is no longe...

Re: Weird request
Franklin's Tomb contains the lines "Do you have a light mac?" "No but I have a dark brown over coat" however they appear in the instruction manual rather than the game itself. But perhaps you are thinking of the manual as the manual contains many black and white pictures, plus the third part of the...

Re: ALLDREAM
I doubt that I will be able to help but I do have one question; have you tried XRoar with the ALLDREAM ROM image in the archive, and if so, do you observe the same problem as the one you describe with your own image?

Re: Death Mines Of Sirus (Phoenix)
It seems as if Part 1 doesn't work on xRoar. However, if you use the .CAS version of Part 1, and the .WAVs from here for the adventure bits, then you have the whole game. It does but it's another instance where you need to start XRoar with the -no-tape-fast option. I think the first part may use th...

Re: Tano Dragon with saturated colors
There's a "Channel 3/4" button on the back of Tano Dragons, what happens when you press it? Does one NTSC channel give a better display than the other? No effect, because I'm not using the RF output. I have done a cable with a DIN5 plug to connect to the Monitor port of the Dragon. Curiously, the i...

Re: Recommendations for Text-based adventures
May I suggest http://solutionarchive.com/search/ with the appropriate "Platform" (Dragon 32/64) and "Genre" settings to give you some ideas? Most of the Dragon games mentioned at CASA are available from this site. (There are several fantasy genres available "Tolkien", "Magic", "Fantasy, misc.", etc....

Re: Castle Adventure (Virgin Games)
If you check your inventory you will find a grappling hook, so:daelectron wrote:OK then (and this is perhaps a question for Alasdair), can anyone tell me what to do in the initial location? I can't get into this game. I can't move without falling in the moat.

The attachment contains both a cas file and an XRoar generated wave file.

Re: Dragon 4 (J Morrison)
Currently I can load both Torpedo Run and Hornets but not Pterodactyl in XRoar. However I have a problem with Torpedo Run, after I launch my first torpedo I can no longer move my sub or launch another torpedo, I would like to resolve this issue before making a .cas file.

Re: Castle Adventure (Virgin Games)
XRoar (snap-20121125) recognises the wave file but you have to type POKE 25,6:NEW (return) before CLOADing the game.
