Put the Dragon DOS cartridge ROM in the same place as you put the Dragon ROMs. XRoar should pick up the DOS cartridge automatically, but check the documentation to make sure that the ROM has a name that XRoar recognises.devo wrote:... but I have not yet got the Dragon Dos cartridge to run on xroar...

Re: Rebound from Your Computer magazine
I suppose "-(A1=31)" will evaluate to 1 when A1 reaches 31 and 0 otherwise. So it makes the right-hand border draw at X=63 instead of X=62 and therefore outlines the screen edge a little more neatly with the published expression. Interesting, I've just run a little test and you're right. You learn ...

Re: Comparison of Dragon Assemblers?
There's a nice review of ALLDREAM on page 22 of Dragon User 9/1985. Thanks Ken, that review contains the half-remembered (by me) line, "The assembler supports all the instructions and addressing modes of the 6809 (certain other popular assemblers do not!)." I could not recall to which assembler thi...

Rebound from Your Computer magazine
Here is something a little different, a text file (.bas extension) that can be CLOADed into XRoar. The listing can be found in Your Computer magazine (April 1983, Vol. 3 No. 4, p. 64), see the Internet Archive or WoS ( page 64 and page 65 ). I have made a few changes to the program. Apart from the c...

Kart from Your Computer magazine
Here is another game by J. R. G. Nash from Your Computer magazine (June 1984, Vol. 4 No. 6, p. 142), see the Internet Archive or WoS ( page 142 , page 143 , and page 145 ). Again Mr. Nash has created a game that requires two joysticks, but page 145 shows the modifications needed for keyboard control.

Re: XRoar 0.30 released
XRoar-0.30.2 is not 'stopping the tape' after CLOADMing a program, this is most easily seen when displaying the Tape Control window of the GTK+ version. CLOAD and SKIPF do not appear to suffer from this problem. For an example program see the Aerobatic Simulator . Typing CLOADM:CLOAD works, but typi...

Flight Simulator from Your Computer magazine
This is Flight Simulator (aka. Aerobatic Simulator) from Your Computer magazine (June 1983, Vol. 3 No. 6, p. 86-91), written by J. R. G. Nash. Instructions can be found via the Internet archive or WoS ( page 86 , page 87 , page 89 , and page 91 ). You may have a problem when fast loading in an emula...

Re: Dragon User Magazine Index
This is almost the same as the spreadsheet uploaded by Simon a few years back, the differences being the addition of the issue number and changing the name of the months to numerals. Unfortunately I cannot locate that earlier post because search tells me that the terms "Dragon User magazine index" a...

Re: Your Computer magazine online
Dragon Kart I might have typed this in all those years ago. I will have to check if I still have it on tape. And the Flight Simulator I definitely have on tape because I couldn't face typing it all in so I bought the cassette, plus I made a CAS file of the program many moons ago (will upload if I h...
