I think I worked out why, but posted it on the wrong thread, apologies for that! In an attempt to avoid confusion I'll continue here, and hopefully a moderator will have the means to move the relevant posts. On switching on a Dragon ?MEM should give 24871 but I would have thought that a low amount ...

Perhaps you have set the volume a little too low? For what it is worth, I have rarely had any problem with the combination of maximum volume and minimum tone on my cassette recorder.

Welcome to the forum. Regarding your tape problems the first thing I would do is adjust the volume level on the cassette deck, but I assume you have already tried this. Next you could bypass the cassettes and deck by using your regular computer as the tape deck, connect your Dragon's tape lead to th...

Why not have a page on the Wiki containing links to all of the relevant sites? That way you will have all of the information on one page whilst the programmers can keep whatever control that they want of their work.
