Re: Conway's LIFE - my first programme
Well done, and it's nice to see someone getting some use out of the Demon monitor (since I am partly responsible for this site's image of the program
).

Re: Cascade Cassette 50 - Redone
I concur with Pere, I'm just a little puzzled as to why you changed the title from "Cassette 50" to "50 Games".pser1 wrote:thanks Rob,

Re: Cascade Cassette 50 - Redone
@Alastair How did you get a so small zip with all these 50 games? All I did was pad out the archive's existing .cas files of the cassette and zip the resulting .cas files: .cas files are naturally smaller than wave files. Since I am not the one who created the original .cas files I can offer no ass...

Re: Mixing two different graphic modes
Incidentally, is anyone able to convert old Claris Works files? I drew up some MKII schematics a while back and sent nice laminated copies to NDUG but didn't keep any for my own use. I still have the files but can't read them. Have you tried LibreOffice? Addendum. I've had to reboot my computer to ...

Re: How to run the Dragon at double speed
As for the 4 line program, it sent my Dragon nuts! When I typed RUN I got another garbled screen with flickering. I pressed BREAK and it changed to the same flickering that I had with POKE69547,0. I pressed BREAK again and got the boot screen back with the program listing and BREAK in 20, but lost ...

Re: XRoar on Android
Cas, wav, and rom files all load OK using ES File Explorer. Any chance you can include all XROAR file types if you decide to update the Android port to the latest version? Are there other file types? You should read the manual! From chapter 3 of the manual XRoar supports: .cas .wav .bas .asc .dmk ....

Re: I got a Dragon 32!
I thought it unlikely as so far as I am aware none of my other 8 bit machines can be damaged by anything typed in; I do have a vague recollection of a *UNPLUG command that could cause a BBC Master a few problems, if I recall correctly. There is a poke that can kill some Commodore PETs so it pays to...

Re: I got a Dragon 32!
There's no need for you to apologise. The one who should be apologising is the person who decided to market the CoCo as a TRS-80 despite the CoCo having a 6809 CPU rather than the z80 found in the other machines.Commodore wrote:Apologies for any confusion.
