Re: Wintersoft - Usurper of Rune
Hello MDM73 and welcome to the forum. The story I read (it may have been in a letter to Dragon User) was that John Humphreys had created a beta copy but was having difficulty reducing the size of the program to run on a Dragon 32. The person who wrote this didn't state his source or sources so I tak...

Re: Could the Dragon use CoCo banked cartridges?
Thanks Pere, that's one of the threads I was going to link to, the other being http://archive.worldofdragon.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=42 James, the search function of this site is irritating to say the least, I searched for &HFFD7, at least that term isn't considered too common. Regarding to wh...

Re: Could the Dragon use CoCo banked cartridges?
A stupid question perhaps, but will a double-speed cartridge work on a Dragon that cannot take the double-speed poke itself?

Disk drives and controllers for the Dragon 32/64 is another good thread on the subject.

Re: Feasibility Experiment
Pere, as with the Arrow of Death - Part 1 upload this upload is missing the Dragon 64 graphics data file.

Re: Arrow of Death - part 1
Pere, this upload is missing the graphics data of the Dragon 64 version (when in D64 mode the graphics file automatically loads after the main program has loaded). Also I'm not sure if the tape pictured has the correct label (see the entry for Waxworks for a picture of a known Dragon cassette).

Re: Tano Dragons
Do you actually have an NTSC display? Or a PAL one that happens to handle 60Hz (PAL-M)? The latter will give the green/purple artifacts, I think. I've been trying out a CoCo game called Plateau of the Past with XRoar and I'm getting the same colours as shown on L. Curtis Boyle's site . However, as ...

Re: Thomson's 6809 based computers
But, oh my, [the Apple II] was so expensive here! I never even saw one as a kid in England in the 80s, nor did it appear in the magazines I read at the time. If I was aware of it at all, it was a business machine for companies, not as a home computer. I suspect things were different in the US thoug...

Re: Thomson's 6809 based computers
BTW, they conclude the Dragon 32 is a better buy for gaming than the Commodore 64... Maybe due to the availability of "wargames" and the lower price. An odd thing to say given that SSI converted many of their games to the C64, although perhaps the operative word here is 'availability'. How easy was...

Re: Some problems with Dragon 64
Rob, did Eurohard ever make an NTSC Dragon? I was under the impression that all NTSC Dragons were made by Tano. Joe, welcome to the forum. I can't offer much help with fixing your Dragon but I do wonder if you have tried using an RF cable and tuning in the TV to see if you get colour. Also you state...
