Re: Wall wart and pixel speckling
Can't recommend a good wall wart I'm afraid, as even the ones we buy at work from the RS PRO range all seem to be as bad as each other. You can actually feel the spikes if you connect either of the outputs to a metal plate. Very disconcerting the first time you experience this! Apple trackpads. Nuf...

Re: Vertical color oscillation problem
Interestingly (FSVO), it turns out the PAL CoCos keep the video in lockstep with the colour crystal line by line. First by using a 14.23753MHz crystal for the SAM, which theoretically yields an exact number of colour cycles per scanline, then by having explicit circuitry to delay clock at the end of...

Re: MIDIV10 by Ian Jones
Could be! I've done very little with MIDI, and never on the Dragon.robcfg wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 10:00 am I also found this:

Which references the Rulaford MIDI Interface, could that be it?
It was actually a FB post by Jim that prompted me to upload this, as I remembered I had it.

MIDIV10 by Ian Jones
I have no idea how this is supposed to work (D64 serial port?), and I also have no idea why I even have the disk (possibly inherited from Robin?). But this supposedly pokes at MIDI stuff.

Re: XRoar "Enjoy Defender on the CoCo 3" Pico project
Huh, thanks (tcdev) for the thread necromancy there as I'd completely missed this post, and that looks excellent!
Next you (wayland) need to interface that to a real CoCo 3 Just a shame they use that horrible flimsy mylar for the keyboard connector...

Re: XRoar - WD2797
I was trying to read a track at once using the command apparently supported by the controller inside the Dragon (WD2797) but I cannot get it to work. Is this command ($E0) supported on XRoar or should I try it on real hardware? Ah sorry, it's very much not supported. When I finally implement flux l...

Re: XRoar 1.5 released
So various point releases happened since then, but I've just pushed out 1.5.5 - the big deal here is that hopefully , Windows audio is now a little less glitchy. This SDL release fixed a bug that was preventing me from allowing use of Windows' WASAPI audio API. And switching to that API meant I coul...

Re: Finally tested 256K
Ciaran - do you have a copy of the J&R Banker software that they included with their 256K and 512K banker boards? If not, Ken Waters (Canadian Retro Things) has copies of them. I think it even came with OS9 Level 1 RAM disk drivers for it. I don't, though I see the disk on colorcomputerarchive. Unf...
