Re: Question on Delta Dos cartridge
Most probably my friend will lend me his DeltaDOS controller so I can test it this weekend, so you can count with the ROM dump sooner or later. By the way, I've redone the DeltaDOS and DragonDOS pages including the IC parts lists and the datasheets for all IC's. Hope you like it! Yeah, was looking ...

Re: Question on Delta Dos cartridge
The reason for the double speed poke, is that the Delta controler uses a WD2795 (I think) which has an inverted databus, this means that before *EVERY* bytes is written and after *EVERY* byte is read it must be inverted, this extra processing means that the 6809 cannot keep up with the WD controler...

Re: Question on Delta Dos cartridge
On sunday,a friend brought a Delta Dos cartridge (and I promptly scanned it for the archive ;) ), and told me that it only works on a Dragon 32 not a Dragon 64. Can anyone confirm this fact? And, is there any way to make it work with a D64? Another question I have is, may a DragonDos disk be used i...

Re: The National Museum of Computing
One of our volunteers restored and added a Dragon 32 to the PC Gallery at TNMOC taking its rightful place alongside other personal computers of the period. Seems to be working well but if anyone wants to offer some simple cassette based games that we can use to show the machine working, they would ...

Re: Read Flex disks on a PC ?
Yeah, soldered on this one too. Do you think rigging up an adaptor with a test clip would work in-circuit (without powering up the board)? Possibly, but then you have the other circuitry which is connected to the pins possibly loading the inputs / outputs and making them not reliable. Also unless y...

Re: Read Flex disks on a PC ?
I can check my board to see if its soldered, and if not I have an EPROM programmer at work I can use to read it. <Going to get it out of the garage now> Is it IC22 you need to read? Mine is socketed and just a regular 2764. Nope it's IC12 which should be a 82S147, it's a bipolar prom I think, alas ...

Re: What Hardware?
Bloodh hell Plus board must be like busses, don't see one for 20 years and then 2 come along within a couple of weeks of each other !
Well, if the plus board is in one of the machines at your sisters I know someone that could give it a good home........
Cheers.
Phill.

Re: Read Flex disks on a PC ?
Likewise if you can help "Prime" with the Dragon Plus board I would be personally very greatful (its my board thats dead) - we need to get a dump of the prom so we can replicate it. If the sucker powers up, you are welcome to borrow it. One thing I feel obligated to point out, getting an image of t...

Re: Read Flex disks on a PC ?
Many thanks Rolf - I'll certainly explore that option. My 'main' machine is a 64 with the Compusense Dragon Plus on it. All re-housed in a 19" rack cabinet. It's been so long though, I wonder if it will even power up! Looking forward to digging it all out over Easter. Ohhh a second Dragon Plus boar...
