Re: Cassette Baud...

The symbol rate is variable, since it takes only half as long to transmit a "1" bit compared to a "0" bit. I wonder if the quoted baud rate accounts for this (perhaps being an average), or whether it even makes sense to have a single value rather than a range? Really? I always thought it was 1 cycl...

Re: PAL-M TV system?

Since the fs and hs interrupts are generated by the vdg, I would say that yes it would detect as NTSC. Though the same is true for the dragon, it's other circuitry cheats and stops the vdg clock for 50 odd scanlines each half frame, so generating a 50Hz fs. Though for timing purposes PAL-M being det...

Re: Everybody else is doing it...

I'd deffo be up for it, RCM HQ would be ok for me, or the Lass in Manchester, pretty easy to get to from Coventry, it's a straight through train, so should also be doable from London, or anywhere on the west coast main line.....

Re: Prince of Persia

I see someone has managed to port Prince of Persia to the C64 by creating a cartridge [1] of the game (http://popc64.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/prince-of-persia-for-commodore-64128.html), could such a scheme work on the Dragon? [1] For the pedantic it's actually a cartridge image for use on a flashable...

Dragon keyboards.

Hi all, I've just received a Dragon 64, which has a low serial number (LT 001200 I think), seems never to have been opened by the tightness of the screws but had a Dragon 32 type keyboard fitted. Also the posts that the 64 keyboard would screw into looked like they have never had anything screwed in...

Re: Question for Phill (Prime)

Yeah they look ok, cirtainly fast enough, and more importantly they are 128 cycle refresh, which is what the SAM needs.

Cheers,

Re: Question for Phill (Prime)

Not sure on that one I seem to remember asking on the CoCo mailing list.

I think that the jumpers will allow you to fit 8x4164 RAM chips to give you 64K, you may have to do the decoder mod if it is an early board, in order to zuse the full 64K.

Cheers

Re: Disk BASIC 1.2 with enhanced directory display

Did you do this by re-assembling the asm source or by patching the binary ?. I patched the binary because I don't have any source code that is suitable for re-assembling. I wish i did have the source code for all CoCo and Dragon ROMs . :( I have the following if you are interested : Dragon 32 / 64 ...

Did you do this by re-assembling the asm source or by patching the binary ?

Would it be possible to make the source to this patch available ?

Cheers.
