Re: The SnarkHunter Disks
But it sure would help if someone here could explain to me how I may transfer some "Dream" source code to a PC standard text file: any idea?! I did this by printing from Dream to the serial port on a D64 and then capturing on a PC (only a few pokes needed to redirect printing to the serial port). I...

Re: The SnarkHunter Disks
Wings of War is loaded with CLOADM, a CAS image may be found in the zip file I uploaded (see http://archive.worldofdragon.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=271). WHATIS.EXE states that the image contains a machine language program and nothing else, perhaps Salamander compiled the BASIC program before ...

Re: The SnarkHunter Disks
I'll pitch in since my name was mentioned... I don't think I have ever played White Cliffs of Dover , but I have definitively played Wings of War and some other Salamander adventures. As far as I recall, these games didn't use a special loader. I have checked the manual for Franklin's Tomb , and tha...

Re: loading games from VDK files in XRoar?
hope you don't mind but can you let me know how you found out the filename and how to extract the bin from the vdk please? After mounting the diskette with Control+1, you can get a file listing by typing DIR. If you are unfamiliar with DragonDos, I strongly suggest skimming the DragonDos manual. Yo...

Also, here's a CAS file extracted from the VDK disk image that you provided.

Re: loading games from VDK files in XRoar?
You need xroar with a DragonDos (or similar) rom image. You know you are set up correctly if xroar greets you with a DragonDos welcome message during startup. The necessary rom images can be found in the downloads section. Then, press Control+1 and select the VDK-file. This mounts the virtual disk i...

A scanned copy of Dragon Machine Language for the Absolute Beginner is now available for download from

Re: Hello everybody
Sorry, but I do not have any experience with this kind of upgraded D32. Anybody else? You might find some information in the book Inside the Dragon, appendix 5, that you can use to enable the extra memory. The book is available from the wiki.
