Re: Shift or Rotate from Dragon BASIC
Out of curiosity, does anyone know if any of the other Microsoft licensed BASIC interpreters have a shift function? I guess they thought no one would need it. Actually, I don't know. Hello, I believe X1=INT(X/B) should right-rotate your initial X value as X1 , then X2=X-(X1*B) will save the "carry" bit as X2 . Where B is the intended base (2, 10, or anything else you fancy...). From there, you should be able to do whatever you want with those values. Kind regards, Lionel

Manual-based protection were also quite common ("Pleas...

Re: Striped paint!
Hello, I think a number of m/c adventure games at the time used this trick to generate artifacted and "framed" colors in the backgrounds. The graphics versions of the "Mark Data" adventures (licensed by Dragon Data) used this, for instance. I guess there must even have been an article about doing so...

Sorry it did not work (but I wasn't expecting much, actually)... By the way, were you trying to assemble from memory to disk, or from some source that was also the currently inserted disk? (I'm asking this because I've just remembered about Diskdream's "GET" directive, so there might be something si...
