Re: "Yes, wiki" (Snarkhunter's Dragon wiki thread)

Ok, then. I have to admit it's most confusing. And I'll stick to 256x192 "IrfanView-ed" screenshots.

Thanks once again for taking the time to provide repeat explanations about this weird "functionality".

Re: "Yes, wiki" (Snarkhunter's Dragon wiki thread)

This is obvious in No 4 & 5: top & right lines lacking. This obviously results from the "frame" line bordering the picture. It would take at least 258x194 to get a complete picture, as I already suspected. Yet, for a strange reason I stated yesterday, but am still unable to explain, 258x193 (offset...

Re: "Yes, wiki" (Snarkhunter's Dragon wiki thread)

For reference you may wish to check my screen shots of Shock Trooper in the attachment, they are all at 256x192 and there is a slight difference between them and your 256x192 screen shots. True. Your pictures are lacking some data, too. This is obvious in No 4 & 5: top & right lines lacking. This o...

Re: Subcategories for Games

I have updated the wiki page for " Shock Trooper " and added my screenshots. Yet I am not satisfied with the result, since the bottom line was obviously removed after uploading the files. So I guess I shall try again, generating an extra blank line from "IrfanView"... From the first image I can see...

Re: "Yes, wiki" (Snarkhunter's Dragon wiki thread)

I have never seen this leaping in image position with XRoar, are you sure that the screen scale is 1:1? Or could it be down to the Windows style you are using? I use Windows Classic style which means that for me XRoar looks like the attachment, could it be that other Windows styles have variable fr...

Re: MESS interface / help required, please

Well, it now looks like the menu bar toggling with Fn + ScrLk disappeared with r0.137b (was still working in r0.136b). Not sure whether this is a bug or an intended functional change, though. But it's quite relieving to see it wasn't anything with my memory failing. It seems there were some major ch...

Re: "Yes, wiki" (Snarkhunter's Dragon wiki thread)

Looks like you can turn artifacting off under "Driver Configuration" in the MESS UI. Where did you see this?! I've just re-checked all configuration tabs, but couldn't find any such option anywhere... [Edit] Ok... just found it in the menu bar (Options/Configuration). Now, the only issues I still h...

Re: MESS interface / help required, please

... And once again, after installing the latest "MESS" release (0.139b), I'm unable to toggle the menu bar on and off. I had noted the "ScrLck" key is supposed to do this, but it actually does nothing. I have a portable PC, with the "NumLck" and "ScrLck" functions on the same key. I know I did manag...

Re: "Yes, wiki" (Snarkhunter's Dragon wiki thread)

I have used MESS in the past to do screenshots - it has the ability to save the current screen out as a .PNG and seems to be very accurate, needing no cropping... ... Would have done so, but I came across a most unexpected problem on the way: for some reason I cannot figure out, the PMODE4 display ...

Re: "Yes, wiki" (Snarkhunter's Dragon wiki thread)

Thanks for clarifying things, Simon. As stated in the other thread, I've now updated the page for "Shock Trooper". But I'm still having an issue with the size of screenshots, which seems to leap from picture to picture, though I suspect this might be an issue with the accuracy of the "XRoar" emulati...
