Re: XRoar 0.25 released
Just one extra question for you, Ciaran (since I could not find any clear information about this in the manual): could you please explain how the keyboard-based joystick emulation works? I was lucky enough to find the "button" emulation once (... and once only), but I obviously failed at identifying...

Re: MESS32 0.142b
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Well, I re-installed this new release today and it seems to work fine now: no idea why it seemingly changed overnight ... :? Still, I'm facing the very same old issue I used to have with the interface, i.e. I just seem not to be able to each the menu bar any l...

MESS32 0.142b
Hello all, Today, I intended to try this new release of "MESS32" and compare it (well... kinda!) with the new "XRoar" 0.25. My cunning plan quickly came to an unexpected end when I found out that "MESS32" will just crash on any attempt to launch a Dragon emulation (be it 32, 64 or even Coco2) : the ...

Re: XRoar 0.25 released
I tried this new release a bit, and it seems to work fine so far.
Thank you very much!
I couldn't find any list of actual fixes/enhancements to the "Win32" version, which I use : can this be found anywhere?
Kind regards,
Lionel

Re: 8-colour Pacman clone ?
Hello,
I seem to remember a game running in semigraphics 24 mode, which was published as a listing in an issue of "Dragon User". I couldn't tell which one, though, but I guess someone else will know. But I cannot remember whether it was a "Pac-Man" or a "Nibbler" kind of game...

(2) Code that can be loaded (cloadm) in to an emulator. Exactly what it says. You load your emulator, load in the exe and run it. I can't understand how a Dragon program that works under Dragon emulation on XROAR or MESS won't be usable on a real Dragon. Regards, Steve This could be true if the pro...

Re: Commands to load and run software on the Dragon and CoCo
DragonDos also supports a general RUN "filename.ext" command that works for both BASIC and machine code programs. I'm wondering if doing this with a m/c program wouldn't keep the disk drive's motor going on forever afterwards. I just might be confusing two computers here, though. But I really think...

Re: An Hello, and a message about a new Dragon game (2010).
To cut a very long story short, I represent an old game development company, who (as I said to Simon) owed a lot to the days of the Dragon and Amiga computers... I've just discovered and read this thread, and the above immediately made me think about Microdeal ... (because of "Tanglewood", "Time Ba...

Re: Other good oldschool computers?
Apple II was a great computer for gaming as well, with an incredible range of software available. To be honest, though, I'd say nothing could beat the C64 when it comes to games... Only the Amiga and Atari ST did it better - some years later.

Re: "Yes, wiki" (Snarkhunter's Dragon wiki thread)
To prove this, open the number 4 I created in IrfanView then from the "Image" menu choose "Add border/frame" and from the "Frame style list" click on "Plain white" then on "OK". The result tallies pretty much with what you see in XRoar (though with the default IrfanView settings the white border wi...
