Re: Any "Telewriter-To-Text" conversion tool around?

Thanks for the confirmation about the "`" key. But then I just cannot see how this may ever work! The standard key combination to have this accent displayed is Ctrl + Alt + 7. Then you have to press <Space> for the actual display. But how can this be achieved while also hitting the actual "command" ...

Any "Telewriter-To-Text" conversion tool around?

Hello all, Well, today's issue is quite straightforward and perfectly described in the above title! I do have some text documents that are currently only available as "Telewriter" files, and I would have liked to transfer them to PC text files (any format would be fine). Do you know if there is any ...

XRoar: Joystick emulation?

Hello all, Could anyone please explain how the keyboard-based joystick emulation is supposed to work within XRoar? I do have one drawing program that uses joystick control to move a "cursor" over the screen, but I've been unable to actually control motion so far. I could only reach a couple of scree...

Sexy Marilyn in glorious 3D !

Well... almost! (it's only 2D actually, but it sure is sexy !) Please don't expect much here! It's only a conversion from a "poster" that was hanging from a wall in the school's computer room, back in 1984-1985. That was done from a fair number of lines containg either "X" or blanks. Later on, I dec...

Re: Sprint BASIC Compiler by Oasis Software

I might have an old copy-cat copy (on A4 sheets, B&W), somewhere in a closet. If I manage to find where it has been lying for ages, I might have it scanned by my sister, who has a nice scanner connected to her PC! I cannot offer any guarantee here, though, but I promise I'll do my best to find out.

Re: A fun demo for the Dragon?

Hello, Most of the time, you just do not have to type in the "Exec" address. That is, as far as the game was saved using all of the proper vectors, i.e. including the "Exec" address! You should try to "Exec" it first (EXEC <ENTER>). If that does not work and you know for sure your program is indeed ...

Re: Graphic adventures

The "Mark data" suggestion is a very good one indeed. "Black Sanctum" was one of my very first purchases (but it was only available as a cassette-based & text-only adventure at the time), and I remember enjoying it immensely. Maybe because of the high price tag, too! It's only too bad that my favour...

Re: Trekboer by Microdeal

Then we would need someone to issue an Amiga port of this game, since an Amiga is the only personal computer that I know of, that had a video hardware with an actual ability to simultaneously display "screens" with different resolutions / modes (there used to be famous demos doing so, back in the la...

Re: William Tell Overture Music Demo

Hello Steve,

Unfortunately, I do not have this demo disk you're referring to...
... But I sure do have that tune!

You will find it on the attached disk (as "WILLTELL.BIN").

Re: I need any Dragon text books

Hello, and welcome! I'd tend to consider "Inside The Dragon" as one of the best available books about the machine. But it basically depends on what you intend to do with it. I'm not sure it is in the archive already, but I've also found one on my computer, the title of which is "The Dragon 32 / Drag...
