Re: I remember a program...please help me find it?
Hello, As far as can be told, this book being listed in the "Book Not Online" category, it's likely you will not find it there - sorry ! Still, someone here might have a scanned copy. Otherwise, you'll just have to start searching for one on the usual web sites... It looks lke there's one copy avail...

Re: I remember a program...please help me find it?
This just does not ring any bell - but I only know a few books about programming the Dragon. In the early 80's, I purchased a book (in French) about 3D "wireframe" rendering, which was providing routines written in Basic - and not specifically for the Dragon: I think it was more aimed at such comput...

Re: I need any Dragon text books
Hello again, As promised earlier today, a copy of the "Dragon Companion" book in ".pdf" format has just been mailed to you, i.e. split using "TheFileSplitter" as 3 parts (+ the executable to assemble those again). Unfortunately, after checking my own archives, it looks like I do not have the "Firmwa...

Re: I need any Dragon text books
As far as the "Firmware" series of articles is concerned, you do not need to download the full set of "Dragon User" issues (welll... actually, you do! But for a number of other reasons...) just in order to get them. I should already have these documents extracted from the "DU" issues. So I will chec...
Re: "Pixie!"
There's still a significant memory saving of 319 bytes after renumbering the modified BASIC code. Should help to prevent those "?OM " issues you were having problems with. But 319 bytes is really big, stack-wise. So, yes, this could solve such an issue. Though, as previously stated, I only faced th...
Re: "Pixie!"
I'm making some more mods to the code. Will get back to you very soon... Steve ... As many as you'll be willing to! Actually, if I had been somewhat cleverer (and with some more time left, too), I would have used the power of a disk system to overcome the Dragon's limited memory. For instance, many...
Re: "Pixie!"
Thanks, Steve! But this is raising a couple of extra issues... The last lines in "PIXIE.SYS" use "ERL=18000" statement to make sure the error was actually inside the program. Line 18000 has become line 74 in your update: This would have to be corrected, too! How is it possible to use disks in "64" m...
Re: "Pixie!"
You might be right... but I would have believed "Dragon 32" to be the standard mode here! And, indeed, after setting the shortcut to "-machine dragon32", this error disappeared. Which still does not make the software any more useful, though, because of the mandatory analog joystick control. Rather t...
Re: "Pixie!"
Well, thank you very much for the kind compliment! But I'm afraid I never did anything else this "good" (i.e. picture-wise) again afterwards! For some reason I still cannot figure out at the moment, there seems to be an issue with the software running under "XRoar": As soon as the main screen gets d...
