I don't think it would be difficult for the author to call a program to build a Dragon disk image. The image building programs are all external and it's just a multiple choice drop down box to pick which one. I've built a few things with Rainbow IDE and I do own a license... but it has some annoying...

All CoCos do have a latch, it's just internal on the newer 6847 vs external on older CoCos.

I think the new version of the 6847 would have required a new board layout. I believe it had a built in latch to capture data on the input lines instead of an external one.

The January 1984 issue of Color Computer Magazine has a pretty good picture of the Tano Dragon insides. It's probably just a Dragon 64 clocked for NTSC. I like the board layout better than the CoCo.
