Re: Serial Numbers

The interesting point of the serial number list for me is how many 32's were made in Swansea before going to Port Talbot. I have a number of Dragons and the serial numbers I have follow the pattern of about 60,000 units being produced in Swansea and any later numbers from Port Talbot, but I have one...

Re: Retrobright or not?

I will start with an apology as I seem to have used a misleading title to this thread (note to self : don't post on forums whilst drinking Johnny Walkers finest!). The link is to "perifractic's retro recipes" on youtube and shows a new theory of just placing yellowed plastic in the sun with nothing ...

Retrobright or not?

I know that yellowing plastics aren't a big problem for the Dragon, but you might own other retro equipment that does. I came across this on youtube and thought that it was interesting and would post a link here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8P1OVj0IcqY.

Re: BBC Computer Literacy Project 1980-1989

Thank you Sarah for posting the link to this site. Seeing Chris Serle again has brought back a lot of memories, we had a couple of BBC micros turn up at school, but none of the teachers really knew what to do with them, so Chris Serle was my first computer teacher :D (He is in no way responsible for...

Re: why did the dragon only use green in most of its games?

Microdeal had quite a few titles that let you choose the colour scheme and from my fading memories it was a case of load the buff and magenta game once and then stick to either the red and green or the hi-res black and white. One game that I did like in the buff scheme though was Hungry Horace by Me...

Re: Hello World!

Hello Steve, There are plenty of very talented and knowledgeable people who are friendly and helpful on this forum ( I exclude myself from the talented and knowledgeable part, as I usually just look on with awe at the projects that have and are still happening here)(my tool of choice is the lump ham...

Re: Display issue

RV1 the pot just behind the cassette and joystick ports looks very crusty, this could well be the culprit. It would be worth a gentle external clean and then note the position of the pot and give it a rotate back and forth to see if that will clean the contacts enough to improve the output. Hope tha...
