Re: Tut's Tomb by Mark Data Products

If I type CLOADM (ENTER) in Xroar, this version (the most recent one) doesn't start. Do I need an extra command to get it going?

Re: Abacus Tape - Artist (& Chomper?)

PS. If you're wondering about Chomper, it turned out to be a Basic game that was full of errors! Looks like someone had typed it in from a magazine and saved the (unworking) code on the reverse side of the original Abacus tape. The code was incomplete as well - had things like GOSUB 9000 but the cod...

Re: Abacus Tape - Artist (& Chomper?)

Managed also to get this archived today too! Whahoo! Another rare game found and preserved. This looks to be basic so should be easily converted to CAS (I would do it myself but I don't remember how!) Artist ====== Introduction ------------ Artist is an Etch-A-Sketch game in which you can create pic...

Re: Mission Moonbase by Phoenix

Mission Moonbase ================ The Plot -------- The intergalactic wars began in the year 2042. Almost immediately, our scientists on Earth discovered that Strontium 98, mined on the moons of Sirus (see Death Mines Of Sirus (Dragon 32)) was essential to fuel our rockets. Unfortunately, Strontium ...

Mission Moonbase by Phoenix

This game was donated to me by one Dave M (not sure if any members here know this gentleman, he runs the Retro Software web site and is the Director of Replay Events which puts on retro-themed exhibitions up and down the country). It certainly looks like quite a rare game, I couldn't find any inform...

Re: Dickie's Den by Quickbeam

Darn it, wanted to add the instructions as a .txt file but ".txt is not allowed". What? Well, here they are then: Dickie's Den ============ Game Objective -------------- Poor old Dickie is in trouble again. The builders have been scared off by the ghouls and ghosts which inhabit the many rooms of hi...

It'll be uploading for the next 5 mins, by the way. Don't try and download it 'til at least 6:00pm. Huge wav files.

Re: The Emperor Must Die by Phoenix

Wow, managed to make a working wav of the Side A of the original cassette on my Acorn Computers cassette recorder as well. The above link now has a working version of every part of this game. Can anyone convert them to CAS? Here is the front cover art and the inner instructions for this game too. I ...

Re: Dickie's Den by Quickbeam

Hooray! After a whole morning, SUCCESS!!! I ended up using the Acorn Computers tape recorder that I used with my BBC Micro; this has tone controls as well as volume. Finally seem to have positive results with each set almost completely in the middle. I have replaced the download with a working versi...
